The Black Holes Workshops gather researchers working on physical and mathematical aspects of black holes, using both classical and quantum approaches, within the frameworks of general relativity, semiclassical and quantum gravity, cosmology, and astrophysics, with the goal of stimulating interaction between these different fields. The eighteenth edition of the Black Holes Workshop will celebrate the 10 years of the first gravitational-wave detection by the LIGO detectors. The workshop will take place at the Instituto Superior Tecnico, Lisbon, Portugal, in December 18 and 19, 2025. The aim of this workshop is to contribute to the understanding of key tools in quantum information - such as entanglement - within the framework of relativistic quantum field theory (QFT). While quantum information typically involves finite-dimensional Hilbert spaces, QFT and related approaches to quantum gravity, must deal with systems featuring infinitely many degrees of freedom, posing additional conceptual and technical challenges, while at the same time offering potentially new and interesting features. The workshop will bring together researchers from both fields to foster collaboration, extend quantum information tools to relativistic QFT, and explore new joint research directions. The Capra meeting is an annual conference on the topic of radiation reaction in general relativity. The primary focus of these conferences is the development of the gravitational self-force approach to model extreme mass ratio inspirals and further our understanding of the two-body problem in general relativity. This is done in synergy with other well-known modeling techniques such as post-Newtonian theory and numerical relativity. The canonical example of an extreme-mass-ratio inspiral (EMRI) is the inspiral of a stellar-mass compact object into a supermassive black hole. Gravitational waves from these systems are a promising target for the future space-based detector LISA. The study of radiation reaction and self-force is not limited to EMRIs, and a range of topics and applications to other areas of gravitational physics have been discussed at past Capra meetings; an example is the scattering of massive particles, which is currently an active area of research. The format of the meeting is an amalgamation of a daily invited review talk, short contributed talks and organised discussion sessions. Following the tradition of past Capra meetings, no registration fee is charged. A contribution of 50 euros to the banquet will be requested at registration for the attendees that would like to join the banquet. Several selected early career researchers will be funded by providing up to 6 nights of accommodation during the conference. The Nobel Prize-winning discovery of gravitational waves in 2015, and subsequent detections by the LIGO-Virgo-KAGRA Collaboration, have marked a revolutionary step forward in physics and astrophysics by opening an entirely new window for exploring the Universe. Future upgrades to these detectors, along with upcoming facilities such as LISA and the Einstein Telescope, promise even more breakthrough discoveries that the next generation of scientists will need to interpret. The School on Gravity (22-26 June 2026, Copenhagen) will introduce junior scientists-graduate students and advanced undergraduates with a background in general relativity-to a wide range of foundational topics in the exciting new field of gravitational wave physics. Topics will span from the theory of motion, to new challenges introduced by quantum physics, to the astrophysics of black holes and source modeling for gravitational-wave detectors. The era of multi-messenger science using signals from astrophysical sources observed in different cosmic messengers such as Cosmic Rays (CRs), Electromagnetic Waves (EW), Gravitational Waves (GW), and Neutrinos opens a new paradigm in understanding the physics governing the Universe over different length scales from the size of a nucleus to the size of the observable Universe. The success of this research frontier relies on the coordinated observation between different existing telescopes/observatories which are observing in different messengers and also on building the next generation telescopes/observatories that can jointly observe signals using different cosmic messengers in the coming years in the frequency range (or energy band) which are of scientific interests based on our theoretical understanding of these astrophysical sources. The detection of bright electromagnetic (EM) transients powered by neutron star mergers, supernovae, and other extreme astrophysical events associated with compact objects will play a major role in nuclear astrophysics in the coming years. These events act as cosmic laboratories allowing us to study the properties of high-density matter and the origin of heavy elements. Transients may even reveal particle physics beyond the standard model in conditions that we cannot probe on Earth. The rapidly growing number and variety of observed EM transients now regularly challenge our incomplete theoretical understanding of the transient sky. These limitations inhibit our ability to leverage transient observations for high-energy and nuclear astrophysics. Despite significant improvements to the numerical accuracy and microphysics of numerical simulations, the impact of nuclear physics inputs, approximate physical modeling, and the large range in spatial scales and timescales that need to be resolved remain major issues. While the recent Living Review "Applications of machine learning in gravitational-wave research with current interferometric detectors" by Cuoco et al. The prize is awarded to scientists who have made outstanding contributions in the fields of gravitational (astro)physics, including its experimental aspects, for their life's work and/or their role model function. The award, which can be shared between up to two scientists, amounts to 10,000 EUR and is funded by the Carl Wilhelm Fueck Stiftung, Frankfurt, and the Physikalischer Verein, Frankfurt. Nominations should include: 1. A laudatio summarizing the reasons for the nomination (max. of 2 pages) 2. The CV of the nominee 3.
