This CNRS thematic school aims to provide an overview of the most motivated current theories and tests of gravity in different regimes, ranging from the scale of the solar system to that of the large structures of the Universe. Emphasis is placed on recent developments in connection with major current problems in cosmology, such as the origin of the acceleration of the expansion of the Universe. The topics covered are: gravitational waves, gravity tests in the solar system, very large-scale modified gravitation and inhomogeneous cosmological models. This school completes the one (virtual) which was held from 12 - 16 April 2021. The presentations (presentations and videos) are accessible on the website.
Prerequisites
A doctoral level is equally required in Astronomy, Astrophysics, Theoretical physics and Particle physics. No prior upgrading is planned, but the pedagogical recommendations associated with the program will be relayed by the speakers and will be posted on the school's website.
Note: For certain reasons, the CIRM site is not accessible from certain countries, although participation by videoconference is possible. In this case, please contact triay[AT]cpt.univ-mrs.fr if you wish to register.

Research topics covered will include quantum superposition of spacetimes and the possibility of their experimental detection, quantum reference frames, background independent quantum formalism, the role of relations and information in quantum spacetime physics, and philosophical questions raised by these issues.
Further information will be provided in the successive announcements and will be posted on the QISS website at qiss.fr/western2022
A dedicated conference webpage will appear at rotman.uwo.ca/events
Please feel free to pass this information to anyone you think may be interested.

------------------------------------------------------------
Announcement on Hyperspace@GU:
https://hyperspace.uni-frankfurt.de/2021/08/01/international-society-for-qu…
Additional Information: https://www.isqg.org
Dear Colleagues,
We are delighted to announce the foundation of an International Society of Quantum Gravity, to support the international community of researchers and students in the field of quantum gravity.
The ISQG will promote research and public outreach on quantum gravity in all its aspects (mathematical, physical, conceptual) and approaches. It will value diversity of ideas and diversity in membership, quality of research and openness to new directions.
The ISQG is established at first on an informal basis, with the plan to move to a formal structure in the near future, after having established its role in the Quantum Gravity community and having received feedback and suggestions from it.
The basic information on the structure and activities of the new Society can be found on its website: www.isqg.org.
Everybody with a professional academic interest in quantum gravity is encouraged to become a member, using the membership form that can be found on the ISQG website, and to participate in the ISQG (sponsored) activities.
A The first "launching" event, organized by the ISQG, will be a Quantum Gravity workshop, taking place virtually in October 5th-7th 2021. More details about this event will be announced soon, and will be also found on the ISQG website.
We also invite all interested parties to an online "town hall" meeting, which will take place shortly after the Quantum Gravity workshop. There, the ISQG founding committee will answer questions and take suggestions and comments relating to the future structure and activities of ISQG. Also the details about the town hall meeting will be communicated soon.
We intend this initiative as originating from and of benefit for the whole Quantum Gravity community; so, please share this information among your potentially interested colleagues, join and participate!
All the best,
the ISQG founding committee
